Terms and Conditions - New Cross Skip Hire
Welcome to New Cross Skip Hire. By hiring a skip from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your hire.
1. Definitions
- Company: Refers to New Cross Skip Hire.
- Customer: The individual or entity hiring the skip.
- Skip: The container provided for waste disposal.
2. Hire Agreement
By entering into a hire agreement, the Customer agrees to the following terms:
- Duration: The hire period begins on the delivery date and ends on the agreed-upon collection date.
- Payment: Payment must be made in full by the due date specified in the invoice.
- Usage: The skip must be used for the disposal of waste as permitted under local laws and regulations.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring the following:
- The skip is placed in a location that does not obstruct public pathways or create hazards.
- Securing any permits required for skip placement.
- Not filling the skip beyond its capacity or disposing of prohibited items such as hazardous waste, batteries, and electronics.
4. Company Responsibilities
New Cross Skip Hire commits to:
- Delivering the skip to the specified location within the agreed timeframe.
- Ensuring the skip is in good condition and suitable for the intended use.
- Collecting the skip on the agreed-upon date, provided access is granted.
5. Prohibited Items
Customers must not dispose of the following items in the skip:
- Asbestos and asbestos-containing materials.
- Flammable liquids and gases.
- Electrical appliances and electronics.
- Batteries and car tires.
- Medicines and chemicals.
6. Liability
The Company is not liable for:
- Any loss or damage to property caused by the placement of the skip.
- Any personal injury resulting from improper use of the skip.
- Delays caused by circumstances beyond the Company’s control, including but not limited to extreme weather conditions.
7. Payment Terms
Invoices are due upon receipt. Late payments may incur additional charges as outlined in the invoice. Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other specified methods.
8. Cancellation Policy
Customers wishing to cancel their hire must notify the Company at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.
9. Alterations to Terms
New Cross Skip Hire reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes prior to their next hire agreement.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.
Acceptance of Terms
By hiring a skip from New Cross Skip Hire, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
